The Art of Change Agency supports critical voices and creative visions for sustainable practice, structural change, environmental justice, and social transformation through coaching and consulting services.

Adela Licona started this agency in 2019 to support and promote just, meaningful, and joyful ways of working, writing, and creating, in collaboration with Dr. Mel Michelle Lewis and Nana Osei-Kofi. Adela served as a project and organizational consultant, a writing coach, conceptual and coherence editor, teacher and mentor.

Our mentoring and coaching now extends to students, faculty, and practitioners in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Our consulting experiences include work in scholarly, grassroots, and community contexts. We draw from our leadership experience to re/align organizational models, structures, and practices with progressive missions, visions, and values. Our emphasis is always relational. Our teaching experience informs the community and workplace workshops we lead on just practices. We provide creative coaching to artists and writers looking to develop individual and collective strategies for sustainable ways of practicing their art.

We bring decades of experience in higher education, feminist and intersectional leadership, community organizing, creative collaboration, environmental justice, and the arts to our work with academic and creative writers, lovers of the earth and water, artists, activists, and socially conscious organizations as well as with emergent and established collectives and project-driven collaborators.
